We stayed here for 3 nights as part our kerala trip good resort and decent room with view of lake. The staffs are professional and friendly very kind service from Reception ladies Nandana & krishna. Variety of kerala food options. Boat ride to Mangrove forest quiet intersting. Overall good and memorable experience.
A great location. The hotel, bungalow and suites are set amidst a beautiful well established garden. The building we gather is about 15years and it is work in progress to improve the establishment. The fittings in the room needs attention especially in the bathroom. The toilet flush creates quite a noise. Lovely balcony but a fan will help as it is hot and humid WiFi connections needs improving The equipment in the gym is in disrepair and needs replacing The restaurant is on the first floor but there is a huge space on the ground floor that could be used. We gather a lift is being installed The restaurant’s environment could do with a bit of cheering up. The food was excellent - but caters mostly to Indian clients. Solar power means a generator comes on and the noise is very disruptive especially at night. We give it four stars because of the kind and attentive staff. Many were from the local village snd eager to do their best. We hope that managers will nurture them to improve their engagement with clients. Many have good degrees in tourism and eager to learn. Credit goes especially to Sham, who attended to our needs in the gym and also encouraged us to go on a tour to see the mangroves - a highlight of our trip. Credit goes to the housekeeping team and the gardeners and their team of diligent workers who keep it spick and span. We spent many a happy hour enjoying the beauty of these gardens by the Paruvoor. It is indeed a great spot for yoga and meditation. A Ayurvedic doctor is in attendance. The site could benefit from the services of a naturalist who could talk to clients about the flora and fauna in the area.
Peaceful, calm location - Our tour company originally had us booked at a hotel in Varkala’s South cliff, but it was too noisy, so it was a relief being transferred here. The front of house team were kind and helpful, as were the porters and cleaning staff. The grounds are well kept and there is a nice swimming pool, as well as a gym, but we didn’t use the gym as it was too hot. There are other activities on site such as yoga and Lake Paravur boat ride, but they come at an additional cost. There was only a buffet for dinner and breakfast, and the a la carte menu was room service only. The food was lacking - We ordered chicken biriyani, which arrived to our room lukewarm and was very insipid. It could have done with more seasoning, spice and heat. The room service was quite slow and restaurant staff spoke only very limited English, so some information was not clear to us re prices. The room was a good size with a balcony and a/c, bed was comfortable.
Amazing resort on the tranquil lake side. Spacious rooms with stunning lake view. Main highlight was sunset coffe shop unique place and nice settings. Morning walk in the lush green garden perfect to start the day. Good Buffet with variety of choice. Worth fo every penny of spending. Very relaxing Spa service. Special mention to the Spa Siva & Dr Reju Reception staff Safwan, Nandana Restaurant staff Akhil, Abijith, Room Cleaning staff Biji Boat Driver Prejith, Thomas, Driver Vijaya Mohan and the Manager they're very professional and attentive even on the small requests (Sorry if missed to mention any names) all of them are surpb best garden staff, security guards all greet and smile every time. Definitely I will be back for my next vacation and Highly recommend❤️
